My name is Lauren and I have over 7 years of litigation paralegal experience in both the public and private sectors, along with more than seven years in healthcare and emergency response management. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies; a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology; and a Master’s Degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice.
During my undergraduate internship at the Fina House in Lawrence, Mass., I developed a strong passion for supporting women who had been the victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking. In that role, I listened to their stories, facilitated round table discussions, provided valuable resources to support their growth, and participated in creative sessions where members shared their personal work.
The passion to assist and be a support system for victims of sex trafficking have remained just as strong over the years. I have continued to seek opportunities to support organizations dedicated to assisting victims of sex trafficking. While working with the Massachusetts Department of Correction, I encountered a conflict of interest that prevented me from engaging with nonprofit organizations [such as My Life My Choice and RIA], as some of the women who were incarcerated had ties to related sex trafficking and prostitution cases.
In my per-diem role as an emergency medical dispatcher, I also supported individuals facing homelessness and mental health challenges, responding to emergencies and connecting patients with appropriate services.
Following a recent restructuring that eliminated my full time position, I now have the opportunity to fully dedicate my time to causes I am deeply passionate about. RIA is one of the leading organizations in Massachusetts combating sex trafficking, and becoming a Mission Ambassador would allow me to contribute in a meaningful and impactful way.
Please join me to support RIA (ready•inspire•act) to create meaningful change in the lives of others by making a donation today and attending my private event to hear from the organization and learn about their impact across Massachusetts. Details to come.

Supporting RIA and the people we serve is the investment you want to make in 2026 and beyond. RIA services are free and customized to meet the needs of each individual. Not accepting health insurance allows us to be more flexible and cutting edge in the service space. RIA's 2025 Impact Report demonstrates why our unique service model (Therapy, Peer-Mentorship, Financial Assistance) works to help people transform lives while healing from experiences of being trafficked/ exploited in the commercial sex trade.
Our stories of impact share how RIA services make a difference for survivors healing from their experiences of being bought and sold in the commercial sex trade. Here is one story of impact written by a RIA participant in January 2026.
