Our third annual Starlight Soirée will embrace elegance like never before! This year, we’re tipping our hats to the Roaring Twenties, because who can resist a little glamour, a touch of vintage flair, and a party with panache? Dress to impress in your cocktail best - or in your 1920s-inspired attire - and join us for a night with a nod to the past and raise a toast for what's to come.
This special event directly supports the library’s innovative programs and essential operations, ensuring that Kennett Library remains a vibrant center for learning, creativity, and community growth.
What to expect: An elegant evening among friends and neighbors, complemented with delicious food from John Serock Catering. Enjoy cocktail hour on the library’s first floor with drinks and passed hors d'oeuvres before heading upstairs for our cocktail-style reception, complete with food stations, open bar, and music.
New this year: We are transforming the Bayard Taylor Room into a speakeasy, sponsored by Union Street Financial. We are also reimagining our four study rooms on the second floor into private parlors: The Sapphire Room, The Ruby Lounge, The Copper Bar, and The Emerald Parlor. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase one of these private rooms in the center of all the excitement. These rooms come complete with space for up to 6 guests, two bottles of Veuve Clicquot, and a curated gift set that echoes the Roaring Twenties. Only 4 are available, so don’t miss this unique VIP opportunity.
Lastly, guests can enjoy interactive experiences, including a silent auction, a photo booth, and a live artist providing memorable keepsakes of the night.
