If you have been directly impacted losing your home to the LA Wildfires and also work in nonprofits or community spaces supporting the LA Wildfire recovery efforts, holding the heartbreak of wildfires, this space is for you. This 10-week trauma-informed support group offers nonprofit employees a steady, supportive space to slow down, reflect, and begin restoring a sense of balance at home and in their workplace.
If your work surrounding the Eaton or Palisades fires have left a lasting emotional impact on you, you are not alone. Together, we’ll gently explore the effects of trauma, learn practical coping and grounding skills, and build understanding of how stress lives in the body and mind. Each session is designed to support safety, choice, and connection, allowing participants to share at their own pace while feeling supported by others with shared experiences.
The group is facilitated by David Washington, LCSW, founder of The Planted Brain, Inc. David is a trauma-informed therapist with over 12 years of experience in mental health and more than 8 years leading therapy groups. His approach is compassionate, steady, and rooted in helping people feel grounded and supported.
This is a space to arrive as you are, and to take small, meaningful steps toward healing together.
