Dear Community Friends,
Since 2003, Including Kids Autism Center, a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization, has provided therapeutic instruction for children and young adults with autism and other developmental delays. In 2015, as clients at Including Kids began transitioning into adulthood, it was apparent that more services were needed to address the clients’ needs so we formed The Center for Community Inclusion to address those needs. Over the years, we have continued to modify what this looks like to meet the needs of our young adults. The need for transition services has grown exponentially. After many years of work and effort, it was clear that a young adult services brand needed to be created and so, in 2022, we formed Inspire ND (The Inspire Project for Neurodiversity). We serve the special needs community of Kingwood, Humble, as well as Houston and its surrounding areas through its unique quality programming and services. Your belief in us and your ongoing support of this event have contributed to our efforts to provide support through full time programming, after school programming, and FREE outreach trainings and events. Our focus now turns to providing quality services for young adults.
Our 15th Annual “Aces for Autism” Tennis Tournament will be held at the Kingwood Country Club on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022. The attached form details various sponsorship levels and the benefits associated with each. Funds raised from our tournament will directly benefit our Inspire ND program which includes our full-time day program, Inspire Skills, which focuses on teaching skills needed to be as independent in life as possible; programs through Inspire Outreach that include free neurodiversity workshops for businesses, parent/caregiver trainings, and community education workshops, free neurodiverse friendly events; and support for our social enterprise, the Inspire Store, which provides vocational training for our clients and neurodiverse individuals in our community.
We are seeking items we can utilize for our silent auction, raffle, and door prizes, as well as items for our participants’ goody bags. Through your support and the donations from our participants, we envision another successful event this year. We would like to extend a special thanks to those of you who have supported us over the past 14 years, and we hope to continue to build relationships with each of you. You may return the attached sponsor form to us or a representative of Inspire ND may be contacting you.
Currently autism affects 1 in 44 children, a number that is on the rise and calls for action. Early intervention for a child with autism is crucial. If you or someone you know would like to learn more about our organization and our event, please contact us at 832-790-7868 or visit us at www.includingkids.org or www.inspireND.org. Thank you for your consideration of our request, and we look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Sincerely,
Chuck Shepherd, Board President
