This year marks the 45th anniversary of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City. We are honored to serve the Hispanic business community at this event and invite you to sponsor the 45th Sapphire Gala to celebrate the honorees that are "Simply the Best!"
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City was founded in 1977 by 25 Hispanic business leaders led by Hector Barreto, Sr., who envisioned the need for an organization that would represent the interests of the Hispanic business community before public and private sectors. In 1979, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City became the founding Chamber of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce promotes the economic growth and development of its member businesses and the Hispanic community, as well as relationships between Hispanic businesses and the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area community. We work both locally and nationally to develop a network that provides Hispanic businesses cohesion and strength. Under the current leadership, we are now founders of the National Federation Latino State Chambers of Commerce, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. We will continue to engage, consult, and develop Hispanic Chambers across the country, as did our founders.

One of a Kind Live Painting!

This LIVE Painting will be the ONLY one ever painted at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium!!
Don’t miss your opportunity to bid on this one-of-a-kind MAHOMES painting!
Anthony “AO” Oropeza, one of KC’S premier sports painters is the creative force behind the great work coming out of his AOART5 Studio in Kansas City.
For the past 10 years, AO has started to solidify his mark in KC as an accomplished sports artist and lucky for us, a live painter. Ever since his first Mahomes painting in 2018 landed in The New York Times, AO has had the honor and privilege to create a number of fantastic sports pieces for sports fans and fundraising events alike that benefit a wide number of Kansas Citians in our great communities.
AO has original and print art throughout the country with multiple owners of his work including the likes of Patrick Mahomes II, St. Louis Cardinals - Albert Pujols, former KC Royal and now Boston Red Sox - Eric Hosmer and former Mayors Sly James and David Alvey. AO has also been interviewed on every local KC TV station and his generous print donations and live paintings have helped raise close to an estimated $40,000 so far this year.
