A Benefit for the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club
Big Chef, Little Chef is more than a tasting event. It is a celebration of mentorship, creativity, and the incredible potential of Savannah’s youth. This unique culinary experience brings together children from the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club and some of Savannah’s most talented local chefs from Sela, Ukiyo, Emprorium, Saint Bibiana, and Flora & Fauna for an unforgettable evening in support of an important mission.
In the weeks leading up to the event, Club members partner with renowned chefs from restaurants across Savannah to learn hands-on culinary skills, explore new ingredients, and discover what it takes to bring a dish from concept to plate. Through this experience, youth gain confidence, teamwork skills, and exposure to career pathways that extend far beyond the kitchen.
On February 6, those lessons come to life. At the Big Chef, Little Chef event, each youth and chef team will present a signature appetizer created together. Guests will enjoy a lively evening filled with culinary tastings, a delicious dinner, hosted drinks, and friendly competition as five Club teams compete for the coveted People’s Choice Award.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample each dish, meet the chefs and young culinary stars behind them, and cast their vote for the team they believe deserves top honors. An inspiring mission moment during the evening will highlight the impact of the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club and the critical role community support plays in helping Savannah’s youth thrive.
