Draw Near: Advent at the Cathedral

In support of FOCUS Phoenix

Join us for an evening with renowned vocal ensemble APOLLO5, featuring selections from Alexander Pierce Hill’s Draw Near. This contemporary re-imagining of the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom will be accompanied by seasonal Christmas choral pieces to usher in the season.

Proceeds from Draw Near: Advent at the Cathedral directly support this work and help FOCUS Phoenix serve even more of our neighbors in the year ahead.

About FOCUS Phoenix

FOCUS Phoenix brings Orthodox Christians together to make Christ’s love visible by serving neighbors in need throughout the Phoenix community. Through meals, clothing and essential supplies, and access to medical care, the Center creates opportunities for volunteers and local parishes to serve side by side and build meaningful relationships with those they encounter.

In 2025, FOCUS Phoenix served 707 individuals, provided 248 medical services, distributed meals and essential goods, and engaged 151 volunteers who contributed 304 hours of service. With the support of the local Orthodox community, FOCUS Phoenix continues to grow its ministry and its ability to meet practical needs with dignity, compassion, and the love of Christ.

Even if you can’t join us for Draw Near: Advent at the Cathedral, you can still be part of the work of FOCUS Phoenix. Your gift helps provide meals, essential supplies, medical care, and compassionate support to neighbors in need throughout our community. Every gift, at every level, helps make Christ’s love visible in Phoenix.
