8/12 Update #6:

It has been a whirlwind the past few weeks! Thanks to FOUR special gifts, we were able to close the gap to about $25,000. We have gone from 30 nations fully funded, to now 89! We only have nine nations left to complete the funding for the Congress of Nations. To see which nations still need helps CLICK HERE. As a reminder you may notice that some nations are marked as “Funded” even though their listed donation goal has not been fully reached. In these cases, we have heard directly from leaders in those nations who have shared that they are able to fund themselves or there were donations made external to this website that were for those nations. 7/16 Update #5:

We are over 60%! THANK YOU to the 275+ people who have supported the Congress of Nations! As of this date, we have 30 nations fully funded with many more very close to achieving their goal. You may notice that this week’s graphic looks a little different. To provide a clearer picture of our overall progress, we have combined the funds raised through this site with funds raised externally by participating nations.. 6/19 Update #4:

We are offcially over half way! Thanks to the 250+ people who have given to support a nation, we are at 52.4% towards the goal! PRAISE THE LORD! There was also some nations who were completed this week too. As of today, 28 nations are fully funded with many more that are close to complete! 5/29 Update #3:

We continue to make exciting progress with Light the Nations! As of today, 21 nations are fully funded! As you review the progress, you may notice that some nations are marked as “Funded” even though their listed donation goal has not been fully reached. In these cases, we have heard directly from leaders in those nations who have shared that they are able to fund themselves. They have graciously asked that the funds designated for them be redirected to nations with greater financial need. You can CLICK HERE to see the full progress by nation.

4/28 Update #2:

After recieving feedback from some of our nations, we have combined the "net need" and the "nations responsibility" amounts into one total. We did this so that all of the fundraising can be done in one place. This will change the amount that needs to be raised on all of our pages. You can see here the change. The green column is now the total amount to be raised instead of the yellow column. Additionally, we have added a place for those who would like to give generally to the Congress and have us apply the money to the most needed nations. That can now be done on our "General Congress Giving" page. 

4/24 Update #1:

Thank you to everyone who has given so generously! What began as a way for our U.S. ministry partners to help support national ministries attending Congress has grown into something much bigger—it’s now truly a global effort. We’ve updated the graphic to reflect this, showing how the nations themselves are stepping in (in red) to be part of the solution. Some have shared that they plan to cover all of their own costs, while others are stepping up to help fund additional nations as well. As of today, 11 nations are fully funded, with many others very close to the finish line. We’re deeply grateful for your partnership and generosity. God is clearly at work through His people around the world.

The History

The Congress of Nations exists because the mission of Evangelism Explosion belongs to the global Church—not to any one nation or culture. As God raised up strong, indigenous ministries around the world, the Congress was formed to bring nations together in prayer, unity, and shared leadership, so decisions are made collectively in service of the Great Commission. By gathering national leaders to seek God, set direction, and strengthen one another, the Congress ensures that every nation has a voice and a shared responsibility in advancing the mission of reaching every person with the Gospel—till everyone hears.

Why It Matters

When the nations come together through the Congress of Nations, the global mission moves forward with greater unity, wisdom, and effectiveness. This gathering matters because it creates outcomes that no single nation could achieve on its own:

• Shared Discernment: Leaders from around the world pray together, seek God’s direction, and discern the future of the mission collectively rather than in isolation.

• Stronger Nations: Nations at different stages of maturity encourage and support one another, strengthening the health and sustainability of the global movement.

• Aligned Strategy: Nations align around a shared mission, vision, statement of faith, and definition of success—ensuring faithfulness to the Great Commission across cultures.

• Healthy Governance: The Congress provides transparent, accountable leadership and shared decision-making that safeguards integrity and wise stewardship of resources.

• Greater Impact: By working together in covenantal partnership, the nations multiply their reach and effectiveness—moving farther and faster to reach every person with the Gospel.

This is why the Congress of Nations matters: it transforms many national efforts into one united global movement—till everyone hears.

Your Investment

We are inviting you to help bring two leaders from each of 98 nations—the Board Chair and National Director—to the Congress of Nations. The total (estimated) cost to gather the nations is $407,500 which covers registration and airfare, with each nation contributing toward its own participation based on capacity. 

Your gift helps close the remaining gap so that financial barriers do not prevent any nation from having a seat at the table. By giving, you are enabling global leaders to gather, pray, discern God’s direction, and make decisions together for the future of Evangelism Explosion—strengthening unity and advancing the Great Commission, till everyone hears.

**Distribution of Funds**

Your gift is a charitable contribution to Evangelism Explosion International (EEI) and will be used to support the Congress of Nations. While donors may allocate their gift toward a preferred nation, EEI will steward all gifts responsibly to ensure the greatest possible impact and full participation across the global partnership. If a designated nation is fully funded, unable to attend, or if excess funds remain, EEI may reallocate those funds to support other under-funded nations, Congress-related expenses, or the Fulfilling the Great Commission campaign (which includes the Congress of Nations).
