The History

The Congress of Nations exists because the mission of Evangelism Explosion belongs to the global Church—not to any one nation or culture. As God raised up strong, indigenous ministries around the world, the Congress was formed to bring nations together in prayer, unity, and shared leadership, so decisions are made collectively in service of the Great Commission. By gathering national leaders to seek God, set direction, and strengthen one another, the Congress ensures that every nation has a voice and a shared responsibility in advancing the mission of reaching every person with the Gospel—till everyone hears.

Why It Matters

When the nations come together through the Congress of Nations, the global mission moves forward with greater unity, wisdom, and effectiveness. This gathering matters because it creates outcomes that no single nation could achieve on its own:

• Shared Discernment: Leaders from around the world pray together, seek God’s direction, and discern the future of the mission collectively rather than in isolation.

• Stronger Nations: Nations at different stages of maturity encourage and support one another, strengthening the health and sustainability of the global movement.

• Aligned Strategy: Nations align around a shared mission, vision, statement of faith, and definition of success—ensuring faithfulness to the Great Commission across cultures.

• Healthy Governance: The Congress provides transparent, accountable leadership and shared decision-making that safeguards integrity and wise stewardship of resources.

• Greater Impact: By working together in covenantal partnership, the nations multiply their reach and effectiveness—moving farther and faster to reach every person with the Gospel.

This is why the Congress of Nations matters: it transforms many national efforts into one united global movement—till everyone hears.

Your Investment

We are inviting you to help bring two leaders from each of 94 nations—the Board Chair and National Director—to the Congress of Nations. The total (estimated) cost to gather the nations is $405,500 which covers registration and airfare, with each nation contributing toward its own participation based on capacity. Together, the nations themselves are raising $48,844, demonstrating shared ownership and commitment to the global mission.

Your gift helps close the remaining gap so that financial barriers do not prevent any nation from having a seat at the table. By giving, you are enabling global leaders to gather, pray, discern God’s direction, and make decisions together for the future of Evangelism Explosion—strengthening unity and advancing the Great Commission, till everyone hears.

**Distribution of Funds**

Your gift is a charitable contribution to Evangelism Explosion International (EEI) and will be used to support the Congress of Nations. While donors may allocate their gift toward a preferred nation, EEI will steward all gifts responsibly to ensure the greatest possible impact and full participation across the global partnership. If a designated nation is fully funded, unable to attend, or if excess funds remain, EEI may reallocate those funds to support other under-funded nations, Congress-related expenses, or the Fulfilling the Great Commission campaign (which includes the Congress of Nations).
