CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY UNITED TEAM
$5,000 for our $50,000 goal honoring the NYC Marathon's 50th year
Run with Purpose. Run with Community
My Story
Running has changed my life in ways I never expected. What started as a challenge quickly became a passion, a source of purpose, and a reminder of how strong the human spirit can be — especially during life’s hardest moments.
My connection to Cancer Support Community is deeply personal. Last year, my father was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer that had unfortunately spread to his brain. Watching him endure radiation, chemotherapy, and now 2 brain surgeries — and continue to fight with strength and resilience — has profoundly impacted me. Watching someone you love fight through treatments, uncertainty, and difficult days changes your perspective forever. It also shows you the true meaning of strength, resilience, and community. Seeing firsthand how important support systems are for patients and families made this opportunity incredibly meaningful to me.
Why I Run
In 2023, I ran my very first marathon, and it became one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. My entire family flew out to Houston to cheer me on and support me every step of the way. Crossing that finish line with them there meant more than I can put into words. That race was the moment I truly fell in love with running — not just because of the miles, but because of the people, emotion, and purpose behind it.
Now, being given the opportunity to run the 2026 NYC Marathon as part of the Cancer Support Community team is something I am beyond grateful for. To combine my love for running with a cause that has impacted my family so personally means everything to me. Every mile I run will be for my dad, for families facing cancer, for survivors, and for those still fighting.
Thank you for supporting me, supporting this mission, and helping Cancer Support Community continue providing hope, connection, and care to those who need it most.
Team CSC United NYC Marathon 2026
In November 2026, Team CSC United will take on one of the most iconic races in the world, the TCS New York City Marathon. This year, every mile carries meaning:
Cancer impacts every community. While the journey can be overwhelming, connection changes everything. As we run through New York’s five boroughs, we do so to honor resilience, strength, and the power of showing up for one another. Our 2026 team includes ten runners with a collective fundraising goal of at least $50,000. Each runner commits to raising a minimum of $5,000, directly supporting CSC’s free programs for people impacted by cancer.
Why We Run
Cancer does not pause life, and neither do the emotional challenges that come with it. CSC exists to ensure people have access to trusted support, real connection, and reliable resources when they need them most. By running with Team CSC United, you help strengthen communities, expand access to care, and remind people facing cancer that support is always within reach.
