Robin Broder Gibson is the Board Chair and Chief Strategy Officer for Henderson Companies, the parent company of Henderson Engineers and Henderson Building Solutions. In her role as Board Chair, she leads the organization’s 9-member board with fiduciary oversight. As CSO, she’s the go-to for developing strategic plans, driving marketing and client experience strategies, identifying new revenue streams, boosting employee engagement, and building brand awareness.
Before joining Henderson, Robin spent six years in leadership at Cerris (formerly MMC Corp), a $1.5B construction company, and a decade at Fleishman-Hillard, the world’s largest PR firm, where she led the worldwide account for Hallmark.
On the personal side, Robin is head-over-heels for her husband Jason, who is an operations director at Deluxe Corporation — aka the people who print checks for anyone still resisting Venmo. Together, their love and resources support two amazing sons/stepsons, Conner and Carsen. Conner, 27, keeps KC connected as a skilled Google Fiber contractor, while Carsen, 25, is your guy for perfecting that golf swing as the assistant pro at Brookridge Golf Club. When not wrangling their two opinionated dogs, Robin and Jason can be found traveling (Italy and Portugal are favorites), sipping wine at Ricco’s, or losing a few dozen golf balls on the course. They spend summers on the water at Lake Lotawana, their happy place. Robin also enjoys taking horseback riding trips with her sprite 80-year-old mother.
Recognized as one of KC’s Most Influential Business Leaders by Ingram’s in 2022 and a KC Business Journal Woman of Influence in 2023, Robin gives back by serving on meaningful boards, including KCADC, KC Global Design, KC Art Institute, Della Lamb, and Braden’s Hope for Childhood Cancer.
And now, she’s giving back in the most uncomfortable way possible — by dancing in public. Robin has zero dance experience and a slight fear of going viral (for all the wrong reasons). But she’s here because she believes in Cristo Rey’s incredible mission, fell in love with the phenomenal students, and couldn’t say no to her friend Claudia Meyer. Two things she puts great value on in life are women supporting other women, and never getting comfortable with where we are. She’s learned the most in life from tackling challenges. As Robin puts it, “Great things never come from comfort zones.”
