Thursday- December 18- Javier & Yolanda - LH - Celebration
Javier and Yolanda were deeply impacted by the floods in Liberty Hill (Sandy Creek). They have an adult special needs son who had a small standalone therapy room on the property, but it was picked up by the water and moved about 15 feet, stopped by the neighbor's fence. It's in decent shape, but in need of repairs before he can use it, but needs to be moved back to where it's supposed to be. Yes, that's right. So, please put a call out if you know anyone with experience moving a shed-size structure. Additionally, Yolanda's home had water intrusion due to excessive runoff. There will need to be some wall investigation and some sheetrock and siding repairs. Ya'll, this is a house that is full of love, and anyone who sets foot on the property will feel blessed to be a part of anything we do there.
This will be our opportunity to put on finishing touches and present a newly restored therapy house to Javier and Yolanda- and celebrate the goodness of the Lord. Javier Jr. is shy, but maybe you can get him to teach you some sign language while we celebrate with this family by grilling up some burgers and dogs, or maybe tacos (we haven't decided, but if you sign up we'll give you a vote!). If you've never been to their home to serve, you will not want to miss this opportunity. If you have, then you know, and we also want to celebrate you!
