When using your DAF for giving through your estate, upon passing, assets contributed to a DAF are removed from your taxable estate, reducing exposure to state and federal estate taxes. In this case, you can designate heirs or family members to continue granting from your DAF after your passing, or name a charity like CSUDF as a beneficiary of the remaining funds.
