Friends,

I was first introduced to RIA at their inaugural gala in 2021 by a former board member — and left that evening deeply moved and inspired by their mission. As someone who believes strongly in equality for women and in lifting others whenever possible, getting involved with RIA felt like both a natural and necessary step.

As a captain who finds freedom and joy on the ocean, I know how powerful that feeling of being free truly is — and it’s something I deeply wish for others, especially those who’ve experienced exploitation and trauma. 💜

Since that first gala, I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with RIA — helping organize their 2nd event at Artists for Humanity and their 3rd at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. These experiences allowed me to support their vital mission and amplify the message that no one should face sexual exploitation — and certainly not face healing alone.

This year, I’ve made a deeper commitment by becoming a RIA Mission Ambassador, with a goal of raising $10,000 to help expand awareness and support for survivors. Many of the women RIA serves were first exploited as children — and as adults, they continue to face serious barriers that make healing and rebuilding their lives incredibly difficult.

To support this mission, I’ll be hosting a wine tasting event where I hope you’ll join me to learn more about RIA’s powerful work across Massachusetts and meet the passionate team behind it.

Nosh on charcuterie and make friends! There will be a short presentation by RIA, Inc. followed by a wine tasting by California Uncorked. Space is limited to 20 guests only.
