Transforming patient intelligence into business strategy that advances science, strengthens healthcare, and improves lives.
Fatima Scipione is a globally recognized biopharma executive and patient advocate who has spent her career working at the intersection of industry and the patient community. She builds trusted partnerships across organizations and the broader healthcare community, bringing together lived experience, clinical evidence, healthcare delivery realities, and stakeholder perspectives to shape decisions that advance science and improve outcomes for patients.
With more than 25 years of leadership across biopharma and nonprofit organizations, Fatima has helped redefine patient affairs from a relationship-led function into an enterprise capability that informs drug development, evidence generation, clinical execution, commercial strategy, and long-term business planning. Her approach is grounded in meaningful collaboration, evidence-informed thinking, and a deeply held belief that the experiences of patients and those who care for them should not sit outside strategy, but actively shape it.
Throughout her career, Fatima has served as a bridge between organizations and the communities they seek to serve, bringing patients, advocates, healthcare professionals, researchers, and industry leaders together around shared challenges and opportunities. She is known for creating the trust and shared understanding needed to move from conversation to action, particularly where the path forward is complex and no single perspective holds the answer.
Most recently, as Vice President of Global Patient Affairs at Blueprint Medicines, Fatima led the company’s global patient strategy across rare disease and oncology. Under her leadership, Blueprint advanced evidence-based patient strategy and established innovative models for patient-generated evidence, earlier diagnosis, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. Her work demonstrated how deep partnership with patient and healthcare communities can strengthen scientific, clinical, and business decisions while creating meaningful and measurable value.
Fatima believes patient success and business success are not competing priorities. The strongest organizations understand that when patients do better, science moves forward, healthcare becomes stronger, and businesses are better positioned to deliver lasting impact. Her work is guided by the belief that trust is earned through action, partnership requires shared purpose, and progress is ultimately measured by the difference we make in people’s lives.
