Players of all skill levels are invited to compete on Saturday, February 21 with high energy play, community spirit, and plenty of FUN. The Alpine Slam Squash Tournament is part of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia’s NEXT BiG THING, an event benefiting our 2,000 Club members and families. Join us to compete, spectate, and celebrate the Club!

Tournament Details
When: Saturday, February 21st at 12PM
Who: Open to all skills levels.
What: Round-robin & bracket-style play. All players guaranteed at least two matches.
Where: Albemarle Campus Club - 195 Lambs Lane, Charlottesville, VA 22901
Cost: $50/player ($150/team)
Time: Expect tournaments to last between 3-4 hours.
Tournament Format
The squash tournament consists of teams competing in singles match play. Teams include 4 players:
Your team will compete in singles match play against another team, with the corresponding skill level players on each team competing against one another i.e. Player 1 from Team A competes against Player 1 from Team B, and so forth. All matches will be “Best 2 Out Of 3”. In the event of a tie (each team has two players win their match), the tiebreaker will be total team points scored.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia reserves the right to adjust tournament format.

The Alpine Slam Squash Tournament is part of the NEXT BiG THING, a weekend-long fundraising event supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia. Day One features the NEXT BiG THING Chalet Soirée, followed by the Alpine Slam Squash Tournament and Summit Smash Pickleball Tournament on Day Two. It costs around $2,500 to support one Club member for an entire year. Generous community support through the NEXT BiG THING helps the Club provide year-round youth development services every day after school and all day during the summer with membership fees of only $15 to $35 per year.
