What Will You Be Doing?

As a volunteer for the River Cleanup, you’ll assist with a variety of activities to keep Auditorium Shores clean and beautiful. These tasks include:

• Picking up trash and debris along the shoreline

• Removing plastic, bottles, and other non-biodegradable waste from the riverbanks

• Sorting recyclable materials to ensure proper disposal

• Helping with the organization of cleanup stations and event logistics

• Encouraging other park-goers to join in and keep the park clean

We’ll provide all the necessary supplies including gloves, trash bags, and safety equipment. We encourage volunteers to bring their own reusable water bottles and wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.

Volunteer Requirements

• Age: Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Volunteers under 18 need parental consent.

• Commitment: We ask for a minimum of 2-3 hours, but you can stay as long as you’d like!

• What to Bring: Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor work and bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.

• Health & Safety: This is an active event, so volunteers should be able to bend, lift, and walk for extended periods of time. There will be a safety briefing before the cleanup begins to ensure everyone stays safe and has fun.
