Join us for an evening of community and celebration as we mark 35 years of Austin Youth River Watch!
What started in the 1990s as a small effort to connect young people to their local waterways has grown into a community of students, alumni, families, staff, and partners working together to care for Austin’s creeks and rivers. This event is a chance to celebrate that shared work and the people who make it possible.
During the evening, we will gather for a special moment as the City of Austin presents an official proclamation declaring River Watch Day. We will also get to see the Colorado River at sunset during our guided evening hike along the Colorado River Trail, one of Austin’s hidden gems.
Sabor Mexicano will be on site with tacos available for purchase, and we will have free drinks from Maine Root Sodas and Bawi Agua Frescas. There will also be lawn games, music, and plenty of time to just hang out and enjoy being together.
This is an open house. Come by when you can, stay as long as you’d like, and bring your people. It’s all ages, and the more the merrier.
