Dear Patron,
For 30 years, Art From The Streets, an Austin non-profit, has been serving people who are experiencing homelessness. We offer a free, open art studio for our artists to paint and create as well as enrichment opportunities, art shows, and art sales throughout the year. Many of our artists are able to exit homelessness, however, homelessness has no simple solution. It cannot be moved away or housed away without a plan to break the cycle that perpetuates it. AFTS provides an environment for our artists to improve their well-being and independence while building connections within a broader positive community — a community that can uncover resources such as jobs, housing, and support networks.
In order to serve our artists, we rely on the generosity of the community to fund our operations. AFTS will hold its annual fundraising gala, “Give Art a Home,” on Thursday, March 24, 2022. At this event, we will celebrate our artists and raise funds for critical operating expenses and future growth. Please consider being a sponsor, purchasing tickets or making donation that will not only help support our amazing artists, but will play a critical role in ending the cycle of chronic homelessness experienced by our artists.
We look forward to an evening of fun music, lite bites and libations, paddles up, view amazing artwork created by our artists which is available for purchase at the end of the evening PLUS a fun game called Last Hero where you could win a creative workshop for you and 9 of your friends.
Our goal is to raise $35,000 during this event.
Thank you in advance for your contribution, and we look forward to celebrating 30 years of Art From The Streets!
Sincerely,
Kelley Worden
