For 33 years, Art From the Streets (AFTS) has been a vital part of the Austin community, offering creative opportunities to adults experiencing homelessness. Our free, open art studio provides a safe and welcoming space where artists thrive. We also offer art shows, workshops, art therapy, arts & culture tours, and year-round sales opportunities.

At AFTS, we believe that overcoming homelessness requires more than just shelter - it demands a compassionate, holistic approach that addresses the root causes of poverty and instability. We are committed to fostering personal growth, well-being, and independence, offering a pathway to a brighter, more hopeful future. Together, we are breaking the cycle of homelessness, one creative expression at a time.

To continue offering these life-changing opportunities, we rely on the generosity of our community. Our 2025 Create Change Gala will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, and we would be honored to have you join us in supporting this vital cause. This event will not only celebrate the work and achievements of our artists but also raise funds to cover critical operating expenses and meet the demands of future growth. With artist participation doubling over the past year, the demand for our programs has never been higher. Our goal is to raise $75,000 - a milestone that will help ensure we can continue to foster creativity, hope, and independence for years to come.
