As the landscape of international aid shifts, the work of sustaining meaningful development in Central America increasingly rests with those who choose to invest in it for the long term. We invite you to join us for an intimate evening of conversation about what this moment asks of us, and an introduction to an organization that has been quietly answering that question in Roatán, Honduras, for nearly two decades.
Hosted at the private residence of Abundant Life Foundation board member Nathalia Magri, the evening brings together friends from the foundation and corporate communities, current and former public servants with ties to Honduras, members of the Honduran diplomatic community, and fellow leaders in Central American philanthropy.
Since 2007, Abundant Life Foundation has walked alongside communities in Roatán, not as an outside provider of aid, but as a long-term partner to locally led solutions. Through affordable housing, bilingual literacy, scholarships, and a community library, ALF supports work that Hondurans themselves lead and sustain, offering a glimpse of what durable, locally rooted investment can look like.
Guests will hear from ALF's co-founders, David Dachner and Brenda Dachner, and Executive Director Daniel Siefken, on how the work began, what nearly twenty years in Roatán have taught them, and where it is headed next. The evening offers a chance to get to know ALF's leadership personally, and to explore how friends in Washington might become part of the story still being written.
Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served in a relaxed, conversational setting.
We look forward to welcoming you.
