Waldessori Schoolhouse Raffle Terms & Conditions

Waldessori Schoolhouse (“WS”) or its designated representative will conduct the raffle drawing live at our Lantern Walk on November 7th, 2025. The person who purchased the selected raffle ticket (the “Winner”) need not be present and will be notified by phone and/or email as provided on their ticket stub on or before Monday, November 9th, 2025.

Eligibility

• Entrants must be legal residents of the United States and at least 21 years of age.

• Tickets are $25 each and may be purchased only through the Better Unite website.

• Each ticket must include the purchaser’s name, telephone number, and the referring WS student’s name.

• Raffle tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and valid only if purchased directly through the official Better Unite event page before the drawing date.

• No purchase limit applies.

• Raffle tickets may not be mailed or deposited in the federal postal service; doing so is a violation of federal law and may result in penalties.

Drawing Details

• The drawing will be conducted publicly and transparently, with all eligible ticket numbers entered.

• Need not be present to win.

• If the Winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of the drawing, WS reserves the right to select an alternate Winner if they are unable to reach the original winner.

• This raffle is conducted in accordance with all applicable Texas state laws and is void where prohibited by law.

• The raffle is intended to raise funds in support of Waldessori Schoolhouse educational programs.

Prize Details

The Winner is entitled to:

• Two round-trip airline flights to and from any major international airport,

• Dinner for two at the restaurant of their choice, and

• A two-night stay at a hotel for two (the “Prize”).

The destination and restaurant will be selected by the Winner. WS will select the airline and hotel, equivalent in quality to a three-star hotel or better. Upgrades in air travel or accommodations may be made at the Winner’s sole cost and expense.

The Prize does not include bush flights, ground transportation, alcoholic beverages, or any other entertainment or services beyond those explicitly stated in these conditions. Total package value will not exceed $5,000.

The Winner must select a destination and restaurant by December 7th, 2025, and must use the Prize by November 7th, 2026. All travel arrangements must be booked through WS or its designated representative. Blackout dates may apply.

WS or its representative reserves the right to provide the Winner with a Prize of equivalent value if the requested Prize is not reasonably available for any reason.

In lieu of the trip package described above, the Winner may elect to receive a $3,000 cash Prize, subject to all applicable taxes. The Winner is solely responsible for any state or federal tax liability associated with the Prize and may be required to prepay a portion of the tax liability prior to receiving the Prize.

Tax Information & Required Documentation

• The Winner will receive a W-2G form from WS. The value of the Prize will be treated as ordinary income for federal and state income tax purposes.

• If the Winner resides outside the U.S., a 30% tax rate may apply.

• Prior to receiving the Prize, the Winner may be required to provide WS with a W-9 form, valid photo identification, and Social Security number.

• WS may require all completed forms and any applicable tax withholding payment before releasing the Prize.

• The Winner represents that all information provided to WS is accurate and complete.

• The IRS takes the position that no portion of the raffle ticket price qualifies as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.

Liability Release

WS is not liable for any loss, injury, death, accident, theft, illness, or other misfortune of any kind incurred during or resulting from the Prize.
By accepting the Prize, the Winner releases WS, its employees, trustees, agents, and representatives from all obligations, claims, or causes of action arising from or related to the Prize. WS makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the Prize.

Publicity Consent

By participating in the raffle, all participants grant WS permission to use photographs, names, or video footage taken during the event for the purpose of promoting future fundraisers and events.

General Conditions

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of WS, which are final and binding.
WS reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this raffle if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond WS’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the event.

Governing Law

Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, and any legal proceedings shall be brought in Collin County, Texas.
