APRIL IS NATIONAL VOLUNTEER MONTH

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
— Mahatma Gandhi

A Letter from Our Executive Director
Executive Director April is National Volunteer Month, and at the Epworth Foundation, this month is dedicated to something very special: YOU.

This letter is a love letter of appreciation to the remarkable volunteers who stand at the heart of everything we do. The men, women, and our youth who show up with consistency, dependability, and a spirit of service that cannot be taught, only lived.

— Your time.
— Your compassion.
— Your willingness to step forward whenever the community calls.
These are the quiet forces that make real change possible. Because of you, the Epworth Foundation is more than an organization. It is a team. It is a family. It is a movement of people who believe Denver deserves the very best from all of us.

When families gather at the Denver Feed-A-Family distribution, when young people receive encouragement from mentors, when neighbors see hope where there was once uncertainty, those moments happen because of your hands, your hearts, and your commitment.

The truth is simple: without you, this work would not be possible.

— Your reliability builds trust.
— Your dedication builds community.
— Your compassion builds hope.
Through your service, the Epworth Foundation continues to be a place where generosity meets action and where the spirit of Denver shines brightly. Denver has always been a city built by people who believe in lifting others up. Our volunteers carry that tradition forward every single day. When we say “We Are Denver,” we are speaking about the people who give their time and talents to make this community stronger.

And so, this month, we celebrate you.
We celebrate your generosity.
We celebrate your commitment.
We celebrate the countless hours you give without expectation of recognition.

But please know this: your work does not go unnoticed.

Every act of service leaves a lasting imprint on the lives of those we serve. And every time you step forward to help, you remind us all what community truly looks like.

From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of the entire Epworth Foundation, thank you for being the soul of this mission.
With deep gratitude,
