Operation Get Out's Get Hooked Fishing Tournament Weekend brings together a select group of first responders, military members, nurses, and frontline professionals for an unforgettable experience where nature becomes more than a backdrop, it becomes a catalyst for connection, renewed perspective, and meaningful moments shared alongside others who understand the demands of service.
This year, participants will join a larger Club Tournament, each paired with a professional angler who serves as both expert and teammate. Together, you'll fish side-by-side, learning techniques, sharing stories, and experiencing the camaraderie that naturally unfolds on the water. While each boat is out to score the biggest weigh-in, the true reward is found in the experience itself.
Research continues to demonstrate what many of us have always known: time on and around water can help quiet the mind, lower stress, restore attention, and create the conditions for greater clarity, connection, and possibility. At Operation Get Out, these evidence-informed experiences intentionally harness the restorative power of nature and water, making them another meaningful tool for navigating life's changing tides.
Hosted on beautiful Lake Conroe, this small group weekend includes accommodations, meals, BBQ, all fishing equipment, and everything needed for a memorable experience. Whether you're an experienced angler or picking up a rod for the very first time, you'll leave with new skills, new friendships, and a reminder that sometimes the best way forward begins by getting outside.
