🎣 Operation Get Out: Get Hooked Fishing Tournament Weekend
Cast off for a weekend of connection, camaraderie, and the perspective that comes from time on the water.
Operation Get Out’s Get Hooked Fishing Tournament Weekend brings together a select group of first responders, military members, veterans, nurses, and frontline professionals for an unforgettable experience where nature and water become catalysts for connection, renewed perspective, and new possibilities.
This year, participants will join a larger Club Tournament, with each participant paired with a professional angler who serves as both coach and teammate. Together, you’ll fish side by side, learn new techniques, share stories, and experience the camaraderie that naturally unfolds on the water. While every boat will be competing for the biggest catch, the real reward is the experience—and the people you share it with.
Why the Water?
Science continues to validate what we experience firsthand: intentional time in nature and on the water, combined with movement and social connection, can support healthy regulation, reduce stress, restore attention, and create space for greater clarity and perspective.
At Operation Get Out, we create intentional, evidence-informed experiences that harness these conditions to help people connect, reset, discover new perspective, and explore what might be possible next.
Because we can’t control life’s changing tides, but we can choose how we navigate them.

About Operation Get Out
Operation Get Out is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating intentional, evidence-informed experiences in nature and on the water that help people navigate life’s changing tides through deeper connection, renewed perspective, greater meaning, and new possibilities.
Our work is rooted in the science of nature, water, movement, and connection—and in years of firsthand experience seeing what happens when people are given intentional opportunities to step outside, get on the water, connect with others, and experience something different.
We proudly create experiences for first responders, military members, veterans, healthcare professionals, adaptive participants, youth, families, and communities navigating the demands and transitions of everyday life.
Please Note
While we love children and pets, this is an adult-only weekend intentionally designed to provide space to unplug, connect, and fully enjoy the experience.
We kindly ask that you make arrangements for children and pets so you can settle in, get on the water, and enjoy the weekend with us.
