Get Out on the water and experience the calm, clarity, and camaraderie that come from time spent in nature. The Operation Get Out “Get Hooked” Fishing Tournament Weekend invites an exclusive group of first responders, military members, nurses, and frontline heroes to enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience — where time outdoors and on the water is the reward.
This year, our participants will join a larger Club Tournament, each paired with a professional angler who will serve as both coach and competitor. Together, you’ll fish side-by-side, with each angler — Pro and Participant — competing for their own tournament results while sharing tips, techniques, and a certainly, a few fish tales along the way.
Hosted in College Station, Texas on a private waterway, this small-group weekend includes comfortable accommodations, great food, BBQ, live music, and all fishing gear provided. Whether you’re an experienced fisherman or a first-timer, it’s a chance to get out, cast off, and experience the proven benefits of Blue Mind — the peace and perspective found on the water.

Cost: There is no cost to participants, as this is a fully sponsored weekend by Operation Get Out and Surfin' With Purpose Donors & Sponsors. All gear, meals, accommodations and fishing included.

Operation Get Out is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides outings, events, and resources intentionally designed to utilize nature and water for wellness. With deep roots in the first responder, military, and health communities, we create experiences that empower individuals to access the healing, grounding, and uplifting power of nature and water—especially in the face of grief, illness, anxiety, PTS, and burnout.
Please Note: While we love children and pets, this is an adult-only weekend designed to provide a peaceful, distraction-free environment for deep rest and reconnection. We kindly ask that you make arrangements for your little ones and furry friends so you can fully enjoy the experience.
