Summer is Over, but the Circus Never Ends!

Sure, we have until the end of September until the official change of season, but whether you're sending kids back to school, ending summer camp, or heading back to the classroom yourself, we're all starting to settle into our regularly scheduled programming.

For Circus Up, this looks like welcoming back our many school and community group partnerships and gearing up for our Annual Benefit Show on Sunday, November 9th! As we head into fall, we hope this quote from W.E.B. DuBois (whose homesite Circus Up coaches visited while partnering with BRIDGE in Great Barrington) provides comfort and courage:

"As you live, believe in life!"

⭐ In addition to receiving a grant from Mass Cultural Council, Circus Up was recognized by the Boston Cultural Council as one of just four Model Equity Organizations.

We are proud to be recognized for our "commitment to advancing equity in Boston’s arts and culture ecosystem!"

🛥️ Circus Up students and staff spent a day on Peddocks Island in the Boston Harbor!

Youth heard about the history of the island, fished for crabs, and learned about native versus invasive species. Most importantly, we had fun!

... and festivals & parades galore!

This summer Kirkos (our youth performance troupe) performed at DSNI's Multicultural Festival, the 15th Annual African Festival of Boston, Boston's First Labor Day Parade, among other events!

Kirkos has more shows coming up this fall. Check them out here!
