Canopy works to ensure refugees are welcomed and equipped with all they need to build new lives. Building new lives in a new place requires extensive work! At Canopy, we are working to help our clients achieve sustained social integration, economic advancement, and overall well-being, and so much of our work depends on our community!
Through our Refugee Support Services, we are able to extend our work for up to 3-5 years- that means we can help ensure our families are truly integrated and supported after their first 6 months in the resettlement program. These services include long-term case management, economic support, and youth services. A significant portion of this programming depends on the financial support of our community.

Our annual fall fundraiser makes up around 10% of our entire fundraising goal each year, but this year, due to Covid-19, we are not able to hold our benefit dinner! We still need to raise this money to support our work at Canopy, especially our long-term support services.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to go towards Canopy’s mission of welcoming refugees home!
Although everything looks different for all of us, we are still focusing on the Art of Welcome, and this year, we want to celebrate what makes a place truly home. The Art of Welcome: Home Made explores the integral aspects of home, including homemade comfort food, unique hand-made art, and a strong community that comes together to welcome newcomers.

We are partnering with local small businesses and artists because a community that supports each other is important to making a place feel like a home for all of its members.
