Gala Details
The gala will include a live auction, dinner, and open bar. There will be a silent auction opened the week prior to the event. Guests for both the Erie and Pittsburgh events are encouraged to wear Cocktail Attire.
Event History
For 29 years, Wabtec Corporation’s Bids for the Kids has raised over $2.5 million to support Make-A-Wish, Shriners Children's Erie, and The Boys and Girls Club, providing hope and comfort to families in need. This year, we’re proud to also partner with UPMC Children’s Hospital, and are seeking help to raise $300,000 for these impactful organizations!
Bids for the Kids started in 1995 to help local children of Erie. Since then, the event has grown to have a significant impact in the Western Pennsylvania community. Bids for the Kids consists of various fundraising efforts, a golf outing, and a main event with an exciting live auction hosted in Erie and Pittsburgh! Your support has a profound impact. Thanks to these contributions, Make-A-Wish has granted hundreds of wishes, the Boys and Girls Club has offered essential programs to underserved youth, and Shriners Children's Erie has provided life-changing medical care for children. Together, we can continue bringing hope and opportunity to those who need it most.
