Dr. Shakkiah M. Curtis, DBA Dr. Shakkiah M. Curtis is a first-generation entrepreneur, author, and executive leader building infrastructure — not just inspiration — for the next generation. As CEO of Maydm, Inc., she leads a Madison-based STEM equity nonprofit equipping girls and youth of color in grades 6–12 with technical skills, credentials, and paid work experience, most recently anchoring the launch of Maydm’s AI Tech Hub with a $250K founding investment from TruStage.
Beyond Maydm, Dr. Curtis is Founder & CEO of The Pink Hustle Firm, a consulting firm building economic infrastructure for businesses and government partners, and owns Tailer Nicole Wine & Cupcakes and Spinn MKE. She holds a DBA in Entrepreneurship and Emotional Intelligence and is the author of Start With Yourself, creator of the SCALE Framework™ and Curtis Method™, and was named one of Wisconsin’s 52 Most Influential Black Leaders.
